The Doccione Waterfalls are one of the most enchanting places in our area.
They are located in Fellicarolo, an outlying hamlet of Fanano, on the road towards the locality of I Taburri.
In total, the waterfalls are 120 metres in height, twenty-four of which are vertical drops, and are a unique experience in all seasons.
In winter, the frozen water creates wonderful effects, while in summer the coolness of the waters gives off a sense of relaxation. In September and October, the surrounding foliage is in full splendour, and you can immerse yourself in the infinite shades of autumn in this small oasis.
Getting there
By car: from Fanano follow the signs for Fellicarolo. The waterfalls are just under 10 km away, about 20 minutes by car.
You can park your car along the road, near the beginning of the path that leads to the waterfalls (10 minutes on foot).
The path is suitable for people with disabilities, and is also wheelchair accessible.
From the waterfalls, you can continue along the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) trails to the locality of I Taburri. Trails leading to the summit of Libro Aperto begin from here.
