An easy walk along tarmacked road, which is suitable for all and covers interesting sights without requiring too much effort.

The walk from the centre of Fanano to Trentino is a real find. Starting from Piazza della Vittoria and walking along Viale Europa, you then take the ‘Delle Sequoie’ or “Redwoods” trail, marked in green on the ‘Around Fanano’ signs. Following the trail to the village of Lotta, you will pass the Church of Saint Margaret and, after about a hundred metres, the Oratory of Saint Anna, one of the most charming in the whole municipality of Fanano.
Carrying on and leaving the Cemetery of Lotta to the right, you come to a fork in the road, with Via Possessione on the right and Via Le Ville on the left. Making a small detour to via Le Ville, you can go to see the American redwoods at the Cima Lotta Sequoia Park. If not, you can carry straight on, directly to Trentino. You will pass Via Fontanine, with its endless fields full of wild flowers. The road is nicknamed ‘Della Rovina’ (the road of ruin) because this part of Trentino has always been prone to landslides.
You will eventually come to a fork in the road: taking either the left or the right branch and then going straight on, you will end up in front of the Church of Saint Laurence in Trentino.
On the way back, you can take the other fork: either way, you will see Fanano, the Pratignana area and Mount Spigolino in front of you.
